The China-Africa Trade Relationship
In 1995 trade between Africa and China amounted to US$ 3.9bn. That trade relationship grew steadily through the late 90s to hit $10.5bn in 2000. In 2006 that number had jumped to $50bn. 2013 was the first time trade broke through the US$200bn mark and in 2014 it peaked at $220bn.
